Meet the Cats
Below is a list of the cats who are currently in Wired Whisker care as well as our alumni. While we do our best to keep this page updated, some cats may already have adoptions in progress. The best way to find out if a cat is still available is to call us at (218) 481-7107 or stop by the cafe!
About Our Cats
All of the adoptable cats currently in our care come from a colony shelter, meaning they have spent much, if not all, of their lives living closely with other cats. Because of this background, we’ve found that they thrive emotionally and socially when placed in homes with other feline companions. Unless otherwise noted, all of the cats at Wired Whisker are looking to go to homes that already have a cat or are looking to adopt a pair or more from us. Their comfort in group settings is part of what makes them so at home in our cat lounge!
If you're looking for a solo cat or don’t find the right match here, we encourage you to connect with our local rescue partners who may have the perfect feline friend for your home.

Georgia
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Grey and White
Age: Born 02/14/2024
Sex: Female
Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedGeorgia likely had a home once, but somehow found herself alone and fending off bigger, tougher cats just to get by. Thankfully, a kind person noticed her and gave her a second chance at the safe, comfortable life she deserves.
Though she can be a little shy with quick movements or reaching hands, Georgia is a curious, gentle girl who clearly wants love and attention. She enjoys quiet pets, batting around spring toys, and lounging on the catio where she can watch the world go by.
Once she feels safe and secure, Georgia will greet you with a sweet headbutt; a sure sign that you’ve earned her trust.

Funky Bunch (Bonded w/ Liv)
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Orange Tabby
Age: Born 05/15/2024
Sex: Female
Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedWhy the name Funky Bunch? It wasn’t really a choice. Her brother, Marky Mark, was rescued just days before she arrived! Like her name suggests, Funky Bunch has a fun, independent spirit.
She enjoys playing and cuddling with other cats but is just as happy doing her own thing, whether that’s napping solo or entertaining herself with toys. Soft blankets, whether made of fabric or furry friends, are her favorite cozy spots.
Funky Bunch would love a home where she can enjoy the best of both worlds: companionship and a little time to herself when she wants it.
-
Liv (Bonded w/ Funky Bunch)
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Tuxedo
Age: Born 08/19/2024
Sex: Female
Good with: Cats (no small children)
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedLittle Liv may be small in size, but she has a big, bold personality! Born on August 19, 2024, Liv is full of spunk, curiosity, and dramatic flair. She loves to play hard, climb high, and zip around like the tiny whirlwind she is, but after all the excitement, she’s also happy to curl up for a cozy nap and some gentle affection.
Liv is endlessly entertaining and will keep you laughing with her kitten antics and expressive little face. She’s looking for a home that appreciates her lively spirit and can give her the attention, playtime, and patience she deserves as she continues to grow and learn.
Because of her high energy and bold play style, Liv would do best in a home without small children, and any resident pets should be confident and ready for an active new friend.

Freeda
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Tuxedo
Age: Born 03/13/2024
Sex: Female
Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedIt’s hard to believe anyone could leave behind a cat as sweet and playful as Freeda. This friendly tuxedo girl was found out in the cold during the heart of an Iowa winter, and thanks to a kind neighbor who took her in and brought her to us, she’s now safe and warm.
Since settling into the cat lounge, Freeda has loved spending time at the window, watching the world go by and maybe reflecting on how lucky she is to be inside. She’s playful, affectionate, and always up for a good toy or a snuggle with visitors. Soft blankets and cozy spots are her favorite places to stretch out and relax. Freeda is ready for a forever home where she’ll never be left out in the cold again.

Charlotte
Breed: Siamese
Color: Tortie Point
Age: Born 01/01/2019
Sex: Female
Good with: Prefers to be a solo cat
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedCharlotte has come a long way, and she’s more than ready for a cozy forever home to call her own. When she first arrived, this brave girl had a rough road ahead. She needed surgery to remove one of her eyes and spent a long time recovering in a transition kennel. Defensive at first and unsure of her surroundings, Charlotte kept her guard up. But with time, care, and gentle handling, she’s revealed her affectionate, spirited side.
Now, Charlotte is friendly and affectionate with humans she trusts. She loves attention and cuddles, but like many queens, she appreciates her personal space and will (very clearly!) let you know when you’re getting a little too close for comfort. A quiet home without other cats is her ideal setup; she prefers her castle to herself and isn’t shy about it.

Mabel
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Black
Age: Born 01/10/2023
Sex: Female
Good with: Prefers to be a solo cat
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedMeet Mable, a sleek, ebony beauty with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Once a skinny stray, Mable found safety and decided she wasn’t going back to that life. Now she’s ready for something even better: a home where she doesn’t have to share the spotlight.
She currently lives with other animals, but it’s clear she’d rather not. Mable wants to be your one and only, a quiet companion who can finally relax without competing for attention. She may be shy at first, but with patience and kindness, she’ll reveal her affectionate, loyal side. Once she trusts you, she’s all in.
Mable is looking for a calm, cat-savvy home, no other pets, no young kids, just someone who understands that a gentle heart sometimes needs time to shine. If you're searching for a quiet best friend who will love deeply and ask only for your love in return, Mable is waiting.

Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedMeet Kai, the third brother in the trio of Krew, Kiva, and Kai. Kai is still figuring things out, and that’s part of his charm. One day he’s bold and playful, the next he’s in his “leave me alone” era. (Think “Sometimes” by Britney Spears.) But with patience and gentle vibes, Kai’s sweet side shines through. He’s a work in progress and totally worth it.
Note: Unless otherwise noted, all of the cats currently in our lounge come from a colony shelter and are accustomed to living with other felines. Color: Brown Tabby
Age: Born 03/01/2023
Sex: Male
Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedIt’s hard to believe how far Blackberry has come since the day he arrived. Dirty, matted, and scared, this handsome boy had clearly been through a lot. But with time, patience, and love, he’s blossomed into one of the most playful and outgoing cats. Wand toys with feathers are his absolute favorite, and he throws himself into the chase with enthusiasm. Just be sure to keep an eye on him, he gets so excited he sometimes tries to eat the feathers once he catches them. We think this striking boy is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a little mischief to his forever home.

Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color: Grey and White
Age: Born 07/17/2024
Sex: Female
Good with: Cats
Medical: Spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchippedEdith is a gentle, affectionate girl who once lived outdoors but came to the shelter when it became clear that life outside was just too risky for her. She has a mild wobble in her back legs, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. Edith is curious, playful, and absolutely adores people, toys, and lounging about.
Edith gets around well, and while she can climb with ease, she’s a bit cautious about jumping down, as her back legs don’t always follow her lead. She’s looking for a safe, loving home where she can soak up affection and enjoy life at her own pace.
